Bridal Alterations

I have altered so many wedding dresses over the years, and each one is very different. Obviously styles change, and certainly us ladies change shape too, and often last minute due to diets or the simply how busy you may be on the lead  up to the wedding.

I do not have the overheads of a shop, but I do charge a fair price for bridal alterations. This reflects the years of experience that goes into altering event wear, the hours of time making invisable adjustments, and because we may need several fittings to ensure your garment is a perfect fit.

For your upcoming event, I would like to see you 2-3 months before your wedding, but this timescale isnt set in stone, it is my preference to be able to plan my work schedule, and the time taken for more than one fitting.

I will give you a comprehensive quotation after your initial consultation, which will involve making detailed notes, taking measurements, and discussing your desired result. Often the original seams etc cannot be replicated due to how the gown was manufactured, but this will be discussed and agreed between customer and seamstress, and the very best finish for the alteration will be attained.

Once you accept the alteration quotation, a 25% deposit will be required to secure your bookings and work required. Should any additional work be undertaken during the process, then if this is outside of the original quotation, then this will be discussed to ensure you are happy with any additional cost.

At each fitting you will be required to bring underwear or shape wear and your event shoes, or shoes of the same height, to ensure a great fit. I have a small studio, so I cannot accommodate many people at a time, but I can visit you in your own home, should you wish to invite others at your time of fittings.
